05 / The People Behind the Purpose

Founded in 2023.
Built on years of experience.

Dance to Degree began with a full-circle moment between longtime mentor Brittany Fleet and her former student, Charizma Lawrence.

After Brittany guided Charizma through her application journey to the University of Southern California, Charizma went on to examine the challenges aspiring collegiate dancers face for her senior project. Her presentation revealed a need for clearer guidance through a process many students were navigating on their own.

Recognizing an opportunity to support their dance community, Brittany encouraged Charizma to bring that vision to life. Together, they founded Dance to Degree in 2023.

We created the guidance we wished every dancer had.
