Join us for an immersive dance experience inspired by our winter workshop in 2022. Designed for dancers who are passionate about pursuing a career in dance, our intensive offers three days of technique classes in a creative environment, surrounded by like-minded artists and guided by industry professionals. Get ready to witness the fusion of the dance industry vibrant dance scene in the heart of Atlanta.

Our admission-based program is specifically designed to challenge dancers with a strong passion for pursuing dance as a career. The intensive curriculum includes a comprehensive range of classes such as Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Fleet Conditioning, and so much more!

Special Guest Artist

TAMISHA A. GUY, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, began her formal dance training at Ballet Tech, under the direction of Eliot Feld. Later she attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, and SUNY Purchase College as a double major in dance and arts management.

She has completed summer programs with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Nathan Trice and Springboard Danse Montreal. She has performed works by William Forsythe, Bebe Miller, Doug Varone, Merce Cunningham, Pam Tanowitz and Mark Morris. In 2013 Guy graduated with honors from SUNY Purchase College and joined the Martha Graham Dance Company shortly after.

In 2016 Guy was selected as one of Dance Magazine's Top 25 to Watch and she also received the 2016 Princess Grace Award. She was featured in the segment "Spotlight on Success" in Dance Informa Magazine as well as the Caribbean Life newspaper, where she discussed her upbringing and the distinguished Princess Grace Award. In 2017, she was named one of the Best Dancer's of the Year by Dance Europe.

Guy has been fortunate to teach masterclasses in Hawaii, London, Berlin, Haiti, Colombia, Minneapolis, Arizona, Dallas etc. Tamisha currently dances with A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, which she joined in 2014.

AMANDA SMITH, born in Orange County, California, Amanda began dancing at the age of 3 with ballet, tap, jazz, & hip hop at California Dance Academy. By 12, she was taken under the wing of Charis Moses where she began seriously training in classical and contemporary ballet at Moses’ studio in Yorba Linda, CA. Amanda then continued her training at Anaheim Ballet under the guidance of Larry and Sarma Rosenberg. There she trained rigorously, performed and was apart of the Anaheim International Dance Festival, dancing alongside Clifton Brown, Maria Kotchekova and Misty Copeland. Ms. Smith then moved to New York to study at SUNY Purchase where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Amanda performed works there by George Balanchine, Helen Pickett and Nicolo Fonte, she also had the opportunity to study abroad with the Dance New York International Dance Festival in Madrid and Burgos, Spain.

In 2012, Amanda was hired by Jean Pierre Bonnefoux and Patricia McBride to be a part of the 2nd company of Charlotte Ballet and a year later was promoted to 1st company. While at Charlotte Ballet Ms. Smith danced roles such as Cupid from Paquita, coached by Glenda Lucena, Western Symphony: Third Movement, coached by Patricia McBride, and excerpts from Chants by Alonzo King. While at Charlotte Ballet she also worked with and/or performed choreography by Jean Pierre Bonnefoux, Dwight Rhoden, & more. In 2015, Amanda moved to NYC and freelanced. In January of 2016 she began working with New York Theatre Ballet under the direction of Diana Byer. While with NYTB she danced works by Jerome Robbins, Antony Tudor, Antonia Franceschi & more.

She taught, & participated in outside projects including dancing for Jeremy McQueen for The Black Iris Project and choreographer; William Isaac. She was also featured in a national campaign for GAP. Ms. Smith was hired by Virginia Johnson to join the Dance Theatre of Harlem in July 2017 and has been featured on the cover of April’s issue of Dance Magazine 2019 and did a big ad for Supreme NYC. While at DTH, Amanda danced principal roles in many ballets such as Allegro Brilliante, Pas de Dix, Blake Works IV & more. She’s worked with or done works by Arthur Mitchell, Alonzo King, Carmen De Lavalade, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Claudia Shrierer, Robert Garland, George Balanchine, Amy Hall Garner, Kyra Nichols, Christopher Wheeldon, William Forsythe, Jerome Robbins, William Isaac, Nicolo Fonte & more. Smith has recently moved on from DTH and as of August 2024 Amanda is now an official company member of Alonzo King Lines Ballet. 

MALEEK WASHINGTON is a performer, choreographer, and teaching artist. A native New Yorker from the Bronx, he began his dance training at Harlem School of the Arts, Broadway Dance Center, and the Laguardia High School for the Performing Arts, and attended The Boston Conservatory on full scholarship. He began his professional career with CityDance Ensemble in Washington DC, before returning to NYC to collaborate with McArthur Genius Awardee Kyle Abraham as a part of Abraham.In.Motion (@aimbykyleabraham) for 4 seasons. He then became the first African-American male to perform in the critically acclaimed immersive show Sleep No More (Punch Drunk). 

Maleek choreographed for rap legend Nas’ 2022 “Big Nas Masterclass” commercial and video, assisted choreography for Spike Lee’s Mont Blanc commercial, and has performed for Sia, Phish, Rihanna, and NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar LIVE. He has been a member of Camille A. Brown and Dancers for 8 seasons and was an assistant choreographer for Porgy & Bess (Grammy Winner) and Fire Shut Up In My Bones at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC. 

His performance talents have been recognized nationally at prestigious venues including The White House, The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, Jacob’s Pillow, The Joyce Theater, and the Apollo Theater. He has been commissioned to present works by renowned organizations both nationally and internationally, and is a highly sought after teaching artist. Maleek is honored to be a 2022 Princess Grace Award Winner in Choreography, a 2021 Bessie Nominee as an Emerging Choreographer, and is a Co-curator of the 2019 Bronx APAP Dance Festival at Hostos. Currently you can find Maleek performing in the financial district of New York in the new immersive show “Life & Trust”. 

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Craig discovered his love and natural abilities to excel in the performing arts. After participating and being a leader at his high school’s dance, theater, and music departments he carried out his passions in multiple college clubs as well. Following school, he moved to Washington DC where he took on more leadership roles, choreographing for the multiple community dance companies he was a member of, including Culture Shock DC and Joy of Motion’s DCypher. 

He then took his talents to Los Angeles, CA (where he currently resides) gaining more knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry as a performer first, dancing in multiple television shows, commercials, and live stage performances for artist like Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean. These experiences transitioned him back into choreography, working as an assistant to Jemel McWilliams for numerous artist such as LizzoJohn LegendJanelle Monae, and Jon Batiste; including tours, a Las Vegas residency, and multiple award show performances. 

Today, Craig has taken on multiple projects on his own as Head Choreographer. These works include contributing choreography for Mariah Carey, a U.S. and European tour for up & coming artists Channel Tres and Rico Nasty, televised performance for Kaytranada, a number of music videos for D Smoke and new artist TeaMarrr, multiple Coachella sets, and advertising work for Pocky Sticks. Along with continuing work in the music industry, Craig is now transitioning into more work within the film & television world as well, recently choreographing on an episode of Season 3’s Bel-Air

Chalvar Monteiro hails from Montclair, NJ, trained at Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts, and received his BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase. As a performer, Monteiro has worked with Sidra Bell Dance New York, Elisa Monte Dance, Keigwin+Company, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, BODYTRAFFIC, GALLIM, Ailey II, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. In 2019, Monteiro performed in The Cunningham Trust’s Night of 100 Solos: A Centennial Event and has since participated in numerous events with The Cunningham Trust. As a dancemaker, Monteiro has presented his choreography across the country and founded THE MNTRO PRJCT in 2024 which debuted at the 2024 Fire Island Dance Festival. He was awarded a residency at Baryshnikov Arts Center to further develop and present his choreographic research and developed new work at UNCSA’s Choreographic Institute. His ballet Berry Dreamin is currently in Ailey II’s repertory. Monteiro’s choreography has also been presented at Lincoln Center, Fordham University, Asbury Park Dance Festival, and the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase. He has led technique classes and repertory workshops nationally and internationally. As a choreographic assistant and collaborator, Monteiro has assisted Kyle Abraham on numerous ballets, including those for A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, New York City Ballet, Princeton University, Wendy Whelan’s Restless Creature, American Ballet Theatre, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He joined the faculty at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2020 and was appointed Visiting Arts Professor in the Fall of 2025.
